About the Role
As Head Coach, you'll lead our Elite Team — designing their practices, coaching them week to week, and preparing them to compete in the recreational division. You'll shape the obstacle stations that power our regular classes, coach on the floor, and be the coach our coaches learn from. This role reports to our Operating Partner and holds direct responsibility for the competition team.
To succeed here, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker with genuine coaching experience. You'll help our staff develop and be awesome while helping our programs grow. Ultimately, you'll help our company grow and thrive.
What You'll Do
Coach the Elite Team and lead all competition-team practices
Design the Elite Team's training curriculum and competition progression
Formulate the obstacle stations used across our ninja classes
Coach regular classes across our range of ages and skill levels
Rig obstacles safely — set, adjust, and inspect hanging apparatus (rings, trapeze, cargo net, bars) on the truss using proper straps, carabiners, and hardware
Mentor and develop the coaching staff — model great coaching and help every coach grow
Set goals and strategy for program growth
Build the policies and processes that keep training safe, consistent, and high-quality
Ensure the team works productively and develops professionally
What You Bring
Coaching experience (ninja, gymnastics, parkour, climbing, or a related movement discipline)
Excellent communication skills — with kids, parents, and fellow coaches
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving aptitude
A safety-first mindset around rigging, spotting, and progressions
Nice to Have
Experience competing in or coaching a ninja competition circuit
Experience building curriculum or structured practice plans
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to earn one)
